About the Historic Bluffton Foundation and the Caldwell Archives

The Historic Bluffton Foundation is located in Beaufort County, South Carolina and own two historic houses, the Heyward House (ca. 1840) and the Colcock-Teel House (ca. 1890) and maintain the Caldwell Archives. The mission of the Caldwell Archives is to acquire, preserve, maintain and make accessible to the public permanent records and related collections for Bluffton and the surrounding Lowcountry area. As part of our mission, we digitized our surname file finding aids to assist those researching the Bluffton, SC area. We also digitized maps, periodicals, and Family Bibles and will continue to digitize more of our collection. Please check back regularly to view new items.
